Summit Racing Equipment: The World's Speed Shop® 


It was 1968, and a young engineer owned a 1967 Corvette roadster with a 427. He made some connections to get performance parts at a discount, and it wasn't long before his drag racing buddies found out and wanted the same deal. From such humble beginnings,
Summit Racing Equipment was born. 

Since then, the company has grown into The World's Speed Shop. We ship orders worldwide from our four locations.
But we haven't lost sight of what's important...our customers and our team.

The Company Car
"While Summit Racing Equipment grew from a small start-up to a major speed shop, the ’67 Corvette remained a faithful daily driver and often served as a performance test car. As the speed shop was quickly growing into a worldwide business, the Corvette finally got too tired and was put away for a rebuild 'one day when there was time.'”

Decades later, it was time. The car that started it all was restored from the ground-up by a couple of long-time employees.
