Hiring Process 


I just applied, how long does it take to hear back?
At Summit Racing Equipment, we pride ourselves in having the best team in the industry and we take hiring decisions very seriously—it’s how we deliver exceptional service to our customers and to each other throughout the company. Our recruiters thoroughly review every resume we receive, so the process may take a little time. What to expect once you complete an application: our recruiters will review your resume and qualifications based on the position you have applied for, and if we determine that your experience meets the qualifications for the job, we will be in touch with you to schedule an interview. What is the hiring process?
We carefully review applications based on qualifications for the job and then we identify applicants for an initial phone interview.

What step happens after the phone screen interview?
If a candidate is qualified, a next interview will be scheduled.

How long is the first job interview?
Most pre-screen interviews are less than 30 minutes.

Where is the location of my interview?
Your first interview may be phone call. However, if it is an on-site interview, the recruiter will provide you with directions to your interview location.

Do you drug test? 
Yes. Both a drug test and background check are part of the final steps in the application process for every job within our organization.

What is onboarding like?
While first days vary by department and position, your onboarding includes filling out required paperwork and getting you set up in our system. Then, you will spend time with your hiring manager and get familiar with your work area, team members, and work routines.

Employment


What is the age requirement to work at Summit Racing Equipment?
We require that candidates are 18 years of age or older to be considered for employment.

Can I work remotely in your company?
We offer fully remote, hybrid, and fully on-site jobs depending on the role and department standards. If a position is eligible for remote work, it will say Remote in the job posting. You can also filter by Remote when you are browsing jobs on this site.

Where does an applicant need to live to be considered for employment? 
All work performed by employees must occur in one of the following six states: Ohio, Georgia, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee, or Florida. This applies to all positions, including fully remote. 

Do you offer internships?
We do not offer internships. We still encourage you to look at our open positions for a regular role that may be a fit for you, as some roles have schedule flexibility.

Does Summit Racing test for cannabis and by-products of cannabis?
Summit Racing Equipment is a drug- and alcohol-free workplace. Cannabis is a prohibited substance per company policy. A reasonable accommodation for the lawful medical use of cannabis may be considered, which is dependent upon the job responsibilities and legal regulations of the state.

Do you provide a Work Visa / sponsorship to work?
Applicants must be legally authorized to work full time in the United States and not require employer sponsorship.

Do you hire people with disabilities?

What type of training will I receive?
Your specific training will depend on your position. Many of our departments have customized training programs to help you learn your new role. You are also supported by peers and leaders who are ready to lend a hand or offer guidance.

Do employees travel for work?
Sometimes. However, travel is typically related to a key project or business need.

What are your growth opportunities?
You can grow within a department, transfer to a different department for a new opportunity, or aspire for a promotion. Internal applications for open positions are encouraged and some positions within the company have a track for development.

How much work experience do I need for your company?
That depends on the job and its function. Please see specific job postings for that detail.

What are the typical working hours at the office?
Work hours may vary by job and location. Check the job posting for more details.

What is the dress code of your company?
Some departments provide a required uniform. Departments without a uniform rely on a business casual dress code. For most, that includes jeans with a business-appropriate top and shoes.

How can I check the status of my application?
Click on the My Applications in the top right corner of the blue banner.

Where do I apply? Do I apply online or in person?
There are a few options to apply: You can review open positions and apply on our Career Site: https://jobs.summitracing.com/us/en/ You can use text to apply from your phone: Text APPLYNOW to (330) 521-3440 You can apply in-person using a paper application at our Tallmadge, Ohio and Sparks, Nevada Retail Super Stores. Please note: Arlington, Texas & McDonough, Georgia are online only, and do not have paper applications available. 

How do I reset my password to view Saved Jobs?
Click on Application Status in the top menu bar of the Summit Careers Homepage. A new SRE Career page will open. Click Forgot Password. Don't forget to check your Spam folder too.

If I get an error on my application, how can I get help?
Give us a call at (330) 633-5570 and select Option 2 for Human Resources. If no one is available, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I take a picture of my resume and upload?
Yes. Use the "other documents" field and attach the photo.

How do I update my profile?
If you've logged in to the site and created a profile, use the "edit profile" link on the site homepage.

Can I submit my CV?
Yes. Use the upload resume feature in the application process.

Can my friend that works here refer me?
Absolutely! We love employee referrals. Enter your friend's name as part of the application process.

Jobs


How do I search jobs by location?
Search job title or location in the search bar on the Homepage to find jobs that interest you.

What if there are no jobs in my preferred location?
We encourage you to set a job alert for positions in your preferred location so you will receive notifications when jobs are posted.

What types of schedules do you offer?
We offer full-time and part-time schedules. Specific hours are dependent on the position and are listed in the job description.

Do I have to work weekends?
Some jobs require weekend work commitments. This information is often listed in the job posting. 

Do you offer part time jobs in your company?
Yes, we do offer some part-time positions. They are indicated in the job postings. You can also filter by Part Time on the jobs page.

What type of schedule flexibility do you offer?
We communicate often with our team members about work schedules. If something comes up, let's talk about it.

Can I receive job recommendations?
When you visit the Summit Racing Career page again, job recommendations will automatically populate based on your browsing history.

Can I save a job for later?
Yes. When you're logged in to the site, click on the Star icon to save a job. Come back to it later by clicking on Saved Jobs in the upper right corner (you must be logged in).

Can I share jobs with other candidates?
Absolutely! Click on any of the social share icons and a shareable link will be generated. Thanks for the referral!

How can I sign up for job alerts?
Create a job alert on the Jobs page and get the perfect opportunity delivered to your inbox!

What kind of entry level opportunities can I seek?
We have a variety of entry level roles in our Order Fulfillment Centers and Retail Stores, and on our Sales and Service Teams in all locations. Take a look at the available opportunities in the Customer Relations and Distribution options of the Career Areas dropdown.

What benefits do you offer?
Delivering the best customer service starts with a happy, healthy team. We offer medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus some additional coverage options that you can elect. Some wait periods apply for enrollment in these programs. A recruiter will be happy to provide the details. Does the company provide health insurance?

What is the starting wage?
Starting pay and pay ranges can vary based on the position. Please contact Human Resources at (888) 841-6559 for more information regarding specific positions. Human Resources is available Monday – Friday, 8:30am –5pm EST.

Do you offer tuition reimbursement?
We do! Team members are encouraged to learn and enhance their skills so they can grow in their careers.

Where are your offices?
We have locations in Tallmadge, Ohio, Sparks, Nevada, McDonough, Georgia, and Arlington, Texas. Our corporate headquarters are in Tallmadge, Ohio.

What does your company do?
Summit Racing Equipment is the leader in the high performance automotive aftermarket. While racing is in our name, we offer plenty of parts beyond the track. Whether you need parts for your daily driver, off-roader, or 8-second race car, we can help! We also have tools, garage accessories, clothing and gifts, gear for overlanding, and more!
